MBN BUYERS' POLICY

At MBN, we strive to create a trusted marketplace for buyers and sellers of “Made-By-Nigerians” products.

This Policy constitute the expression of all the terms of this agreement and a complete and exclusive statement of the agreement between buyer and seller. All representations, promises, warranties or statements by any agent or employee of seller that differ in any way from the terms and conditions hereof shall be given no effect or force.

SCOPE OF THE POLICY?

This Policy covers situations where:

  • The item you ordered never arrives: If your order doesn't arrive within the timeframe outlined by the seller, you may be eligible for a full refund.
  • The item you receive is not as described: If the item significantly differs from the seller's description, photos, or listing details, you can request a full or partial refund. This includes situations where the item is damaged upon arrival.
  • The seller doesn't respond to your inquiries: If you have a question or concern about your order and the seller doesn't respond within a reasonable timeframe (typically 48 hours), you may be eligible for MBN intervention. Intervention here means that MBN will step in to liaise with the Seller on your behalf. Where MBN is unable to resolve the delay after a 48-hour period of the intervention. You will be eligible for a refund.

MATTERS NOT COVERED BY THIS POLICY?

  • Items damaged due to improper use: This Policy does not cover damage caused by user/buyer's negligence or misuse.
  • Digital downloads: Once a digital product has been downloaded, it cannot be refunded. Ensure you understand the product details before purchasing downloads.
  • Custom-made or personalized items: Due to their unique nature, custom-made or personalized items typically cannot be returned unless there is a clear error on the seller's part.

RESOLVING PURCHASE ISSUES:

If you encounter an issue with your order, we encourage you to first attempt to resolve it directly with the seller. Many sellers are happy to offer replacements, refunds, or store credit to address buyer concerns.

HOW TO FILE A REFUND CLAIM WITH MBN:

If you are unable to resolve the issue with the seller directly, you can file a claim with MBN within 60 days of the purchase date. To file a claim, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to your "My Orders" section on MBN.
  2. Locate the order with the issue.
  3. Click on the "Report a Problem" button.
  4. Clearly describe the issue you're facing and provide any relevant evidence (photos, screenshots, communication with the seller).
  5. Submit your claim.

The MBN team will review your claim and mediate between you and the seller to reach a fair resolution.

Any claim by a buyer with reference to the goods shall be deemed waived by buyer unless submitted within the date specified for the submission of such claim. Any claim for refund must be brought not later than 14days from the date the alleged breach was discovered or should have been discovered, whichever occurs first.
